Abara ("we", "us", or "our") provides a business messaging platform that helps businesses communicate with their customers over WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and business details you provide when creating an Abara account.
• WhatsApp Business data: when you connect your WhatsApp Business number via Meta's Embedded Signup, we receive an access token and business phone number ID that lets us send and receive messages on your behalf. We do not receive your Facebook password or personal Facebook profile data.
• Message content: messages sent and received through your connected WhatsApp Business number, so we can display your conversation history and enable your team to respond.
• Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to help us maintain and improve the service.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate and maintain your Abara account and dashboard
• To send and receive WhatsApp messages on your behalf
• To provide customer support
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Information

We share data with Meta Platforms, Inc. as required to operate the WhatsApp Business Platform integration, and with service providers who help us run our infrastructure (e.g. hosting, database, and authentication providers). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and message data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us (see below).

5. Your Choices

You can disconnect your WhatsApp Business number at any time from your Abara dashboard settings. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Abara is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
